Organization of the project

I have been doing some interviews and lots of research about animation and illustration. I am drawing almost everyday to get better at it and to develop my own style. I have draw some ideas for the films. Did some research in online resources, but I havent properly organized all the project.

Thats what I did today.

Ideas development
Writing down the things I have done and the ones I need to day. Just create an order.

Character development

Experimental short film

For the experimental short film I wanted to show the landscapes I am gonna use in the fictional short film. The story will be different but I will use the same designers and the same landscapes.

In the experimental one, I am trying to make an animation experimental short film. I have some ideas about it and some drawings but I wanted to focus right know in the character.

I am getting inspired in a Peruvian model based in Paris.

I have been developing some illustrations about him.

He could be my character in the experimental short animated film. I want to illustrate him in different positions and cloths just to know him better. I might ask him later to film himself, so I could understand the movements.

Creative day :)

I am reading “The Seven Basic Plots” for my short film. I am starting with the Quest, taking notes in this virtual note app with the most important things for my story and character.

The quest talks about the hero and how he/her goes into an adventure to find something. He/her has enemies and helpers.

I saw the docu of Miyazaki and I loved it. I liked how he creates the concept board and how he creates the images. He can visualize the story with images and then he writes the story.

I am try for the first time to picture something like that, but in a pre first draft of it.

I just wanted to put a little perspective into the film.

In the afternoon I saw the conversations in Vogue. I got some notes about the for guests. They were really good and helped in a way.

Notes from Vogue global conversations.

Another thing that I was trying to do days ago was to try water colors. I draw the shadow of my plants and then just put color on it. It looks like a mess maybe but I liked it.

Edward Mendoza

Edward Mendoza was born in London. His father is Peruvian and his mother Caribbean. When Edward was a kid his dad past away. He wanted to connect with that side of his family. He went to Peru to meet her sister and to know where his father was from.

His collection is inspired in the legacy of his father and all the amazing cultural things Peru has.

Annais Yucra

Annais Yucra is a Fashion Designer based in Peru.

Annais Yucra

She study in Nottingham Trent University and then came back to Peru to develope her entire life. She talks about gender violence in her designes. He got her inspiration fron her grandmother, she was a native Peruvian. She did not know how to speak Spanish and learnt it when she was older. In every collection you can hear her own voice; diversity, gender violence and matriarchy.

She has a very powerful voice. She is constantly putting into society the diferente gender violence cases with her garments.

DNI

Peruvian Brand based in Paris

Pablo Muñoz

The story of D.N.I. , the Peruvian brand based in Paris is very unique. The brand started in 2019 with their first collection “A ti Perú” that means “For you Peru”. Pablo and his brother (both twins) moved to Paris when they were 12 years old because the partner of their mom lived there.

They both study trends of fashion but in different areas. The both worked in big fashion companies in Paris and started a collective brand. They sold the designes in Asia in different pop-up stores. At the end, they realized they were the only ones doing all the work and they wanted to tell their own narrative, so they stopped doing the collective brand and started their own, DNI.

“A ti Perú” is a collection inspired in all the memories they have of their 12 years living in Peru. DNI talks about identity and how it can tell a story.

All the interview is recorded, I might use it as a voice over for the docu.
