MA PROJECT – First stage

The first idea of the film was to create a hybrid film which was linked to the research “hybrid culture case study in Peru post Spanish conquest”. During the lockdown back in May I created this images based in the research of hybrid art and culture in Peru. I also worked with the designers who created contemporary designes but inspired in Latin culture. In these images I portrayed a little bit of Kitsch aestehtics, landscapes, parts of the artisans work, markets from back home, among others.

During this process I asked a lot of Peruvian friends if they could send me any photos that will remind them of Peru. I got a lot of photos of different cities, towns, food, people, etc making my work easier to curate all the art from Peru.
